National Registry of Exonerations

The National Registry of Exonerations is a joint project of the University of the Michigan Law School and the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern University School of Law. They provide detailed information about all known exonerations in the United States since 1989 – cases in which a person was wrongly convicted of a crime and later cleared of all the charges.

If you or someone you know were exonerated but not on their list – they have a way for you to contact them to add the name. They also provide criteria for what counts as an exoneration.

You can find them here: http://www.law.umich.edu/special/exoneration/Pages/about.aspx
