Advocates for Ajay, a group of hundreds of people, was formed after the wrongful conviction of Ajay Dev. In the pursuit of trying to understand both the legal process and how an innocent man (Ajay) was convicted, we realized the injustices encountered in Ajay’s case are pervasive throughout the legal system and throughout the country. We have met numerous people who have suffered injustices and read about many more people who have endured a wrongful conviction. We have grown in our knowledge and are dedicated to bringing together in one location the resources, tools and information for those seeking justice for the innocent; encouragement for those suffering; news relating to wrongful convictions and exonerations; as well as information and updates regarding Ajay’s battle for his innocence. There are many, many organizations that are trying to raise awareness of the epidemic systemic problems in our legal system. It is our mission to unite them here and shine a light into the darkness surrounding wrongful convictions and to help bring about changing them.
